I made this steam engine during my apprenticeship at the university of Hannover. The technical design was taken from
drawings and scaled down to 75% of the original. Some of the optical design is my own.
Here are the steam inlet and outlet. The engine does not have a "dead point" due to the angle of 90° between the two coils.
The flywheel is an example of my own design.
This is the control wheel that is connected to the actual mechanics via a rubber band. This was also my design. The original design had a leaver attached.
The running speed of the engine can be controlled freely with this wheel.
